This is the picture of a son of the professor and senator Don Miguel Gil Casares, who died very young, therefore for the work posed the brother of the deceased, of great physical likeness. The bronze is working gently and without any edges, reminding marbles Italian Renaissance, gently enhanced by the expression of the portrayed, smiling and child, of great candidness.
At the bottom of the work there appears the inscription "Miguelito Gil y Armada" with the family shield between the first and last name.
